About us

In 2015, the state (Egyptian government) decided to establish the largest solar power station in the world, after the Republican Decision No. 274 of 2014, to establish the biggest solar energy project in Aswan, and the choice was made along the extension village of Benban, on the western desert road of Aswan Governorate, to establish the project, where the geographical location is considered the sunniest area in the world, with an investment cost estimated at 40 billion Egyptian pounds

Vision

To build a mutual trust between Benban Solar Energy Project, the work partners and the surrounding community in Benban region.

Objectives

The association aims to implement all areas of work, through the localization of knowledge, ensuring sustainability, and this is done through the participation with all partners, including:

Work Fields

Education

The association works on contributing the educational development opportunities, support the development and maintenance of schools, Keeping up with sustainable development goals, and create a new generation capable of matching pace with job opportunities, developing scientific talents in all fields, and disseminating literacy programs.

Health

The health Development services is the top of the association’s work priorities, providing health care campaigns to various family members, supporting health education, organizing medical convoys, treating patients, caring for motherhood and childhood, and spreading family awareness.

Economic empowerment

The association contributes to support microfinance projects, establishing projects and lending to owners of small projects, to push the production in the field of crafts and projects, in a way that is reflected in increasing job opportunities, establishing productive family projects and achieving self-sufficiency.

Women's Empowerment

The women development issue is on top of the association’s work, support breadwinner women, providing services and providing all facilities, to the work of women in all aspects of work.

Rural development

The development of rural areas and the delivery of facilities and services, to deprived areas, are among the priorities of the association’s work, and the association has set an action plan for the development of rural areas and villages during the coming period of time.

Social development

Narrowing the gender gap in the fields of education, employment, and health …etc, which supports economic processes.
